movement has always been a way to express + articulate myself.

eventually it also became a practice of self-reflection.

I started dancing at the age of 5 at TanzAtelierZug, where I took classes throughout my childhood and teenage years, and where I also collected my first teaching experiences. After graduation from Kantonsschule Zug 2011, I went on to do my professional dance education in Copenhagen, Munich and Kassel. The following two seasons 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 I was working full-time as a dancer in the contemporary dance company ‘Divadlo Studio Tanca’ in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. 

Since then I have been living in different places around Europe, teaching, creating, moving.

While in dance education, I discovered yoga and practiced intensely, which led me to establish my own daily practice, a constant in my life ever since. 

During my time in Slovakia, I was teaching regular ballet classes. It was also in those two years, when I started teaching yoga, which led me to the decision to do my yoga teacher certification (200h Yoga Alliance Certification) at Yoga Beach House in June 2017, which then spilled me into the journey of teaching yoga in different contexts, formats, places.  

Throughout the years I have been deepening my knowledge and understanding of the body. It has been and still is a path of individual research, strong-minded discipline and most of all continuing interest in the holistic human being. The discovery of yoga opened up new possibilities in physical and eventually mental progress to me, which didn’t only match my personality, but has been supporting me on my pathway as a dancer, as a human ever since. 

Exploring the depth of what it means to be human comes with (self-)reflection, which in my case not only expresses through movement, but also through the practice of writing. Much like dancing, writing has come to me in my childhood intuitively. A couple of years ago writing came back to me after we had been apart for a while and by now has become as present in my days as movement. Bringing movement and writing together has formed the every day artistic practice of PROJECT EPHEMERIS, born in January 2019.

Since autumn 2022 I am back at TanzAtelierZug, teaching children.
